Dan Swan - Vocals/Guitar

Dan Swan is a powerhouse vocalist and multi-instrumentalist with over 20 years of performance and production experience. Based on the Mornington Peninsula, Dan has worked across genres from country to progressive rock, while running Capel Sound Studios where he has engineered projects for some of Australia’s best artists.

With a four-octave range and a reputation for connecting with audiences, Dan brings both precision and passion to Groove Generation’s high-energy funk/rock sets.

Dave Walker - Guitar/Vocals

Dave Walker is a guitarist, producer and studio engineer with decades of experience across rock, soul, funk, country, folk, punk, indie and blues. Based on the Mornington Peninsula, he brings a song-focused approach to live performance shaped by years in studios, on stage, and touring nationally and internationally.

As a guitarist, he combines rhythmic feel with melodic instinct—equally at home in the pocket or taking the lead with expressive, purposeful playing that serves the whole band.

Josh Cairns - Drums

Josh Cairns is a seasoned and highly sought-after session drummer and educator, currently based in Australia. With a career spanning over 20 years, he has performed across Melbourne, rural Victoria, and internationally before ultimately returning home. His long-standing association with Savage Custom Drums underscores his professional stature and commitment to high-quality gear.

The drum backbone of Groove Generation, Josh’s rhythmic expertise fuels the band’s dancefloor-ready performances and tight, groove-driven arrangements.

Danny Oakhill - Keys/Vocals

Danny Oakhill supercharges Groove Generation’s pop-dance vibe with virtuosic synth, piano, and rich harmonies. A seasoned talent with 30 years in the industry, Danny has toured internationally and nationally, performing at festivals, sold-out theatres, and alongside a wide variety of bands.

His dynamic energy and global flair fuel Groove Generation’s infectious live performances.

Dylan Walker - Vocals/Keys

Dylan Walker is a dynamic Melbourne-based musician bringing soulful vocals and infectious keys to Groove Generation. Originally from the Mornington Peninsula, Dylan cut his teeth performing everywhere from local stages to street corners, winning the FReeZA Push Start Battle of the Bands and opening the Mt Eliza Music Festival early in his career.

With a background as a singer-songwriter and a love for live performance, Dylan adds both energy and versatility to the band’s sound.

JP Glovasa - Bass/Vocals

John Paul “JP” Glovasa drives Groove Generation’s sound with his fiery bass work and wide-ranging versatility. An accomplished multi-instrumentalist, JP’s playing spans progressive rock, funk, jazz, gospel-R&B, and even J-pop, adding a unique flavour to every performance.

A seasoned session player, producer, and arranger, JP has recorded and performed across Melbourne’s live circuit, with strong ties to Capel Sound Studios and Soundbar. His experience both on stage and in the studio gives Groove Generation polished, powerful sets with an unmistakable edge.
